Eleven governorship aspirants have so far showed interest to pay and obtain the expression of interest and nomination forms for the governorship ticket of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Anambra state governorship election.
The aspirants include Rev. Chinedu Ifeanejere, Godson Okoye, Ejike Onuogu and Afam Ezenwafor and others.
This was made known to journalists yesterday in Awka by Chief Raphs Okey Nwosu, National Chairman of the party.
Mr. Nwosu said that the party aspirants are to pay N10 million for nomination forms and 2 million for expression of interest forms.
The party national chairman made it clear that the party has 11 persons jostling for Anambra governorship ticket.
“The party is on the right track to take over this state after the governorship election on November 6.
“Anybody below 40 years will pay 50 per cent of the amount, while payment for women is optional.” He said.
He also blamed the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the high cost of elections.
Mr. Nwosu advised INEC not to create more polling booths to avoid causing problems to government and punishing the political parties in the state.
Nwosu said that the system was compromised, while the quality of elected persons had reduced.

Bad leadership is the result of insecurity in Anambra. He added.
