2022 UTME: JAMB certain about hitch-free exercise

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has expressed confidence that May examination would go off without a hitch.

On Monday, the board announced this in its Weekly Bulletin of the Office of the Registrar in Abuja.

The 2022 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) will hold between May 6 and May 16.

The board also said that it was certain that its major exam would go well in all 757 of its locations around the country.

This is in response to the success of the mock-UTME, which was held on Saturday, April 9.”

The Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, said that the mock-examination, which was held in 757 venues went off without a hitch.

He said this during the post-examination analysis convened to perform a post mortem of the examination.

The Registrar also claims that the board was to conduct the most efficient test ever on May 6.

He also mentioned as asking proprietors of Computer-Based Tests (CBT) centers around the country not to rest on their laurels, but to build on the success of the mock exam.

Oloyede therefore, went on to say that the centers must do better in the main examination in May.

He emphasizes that the mock examination was to primarily examine its facilities and determine its preparation for the real UTME.

“Set up to give applicants a chance to practice using the testing system and how to use it in the main exam”.

“Taking the mock exam also proves to be one of the most effective tests of preparation for the real exam,”

According to media reports, 1.8 million applicants enrolled for this year’s primary UTME.
