300 volunteers deplored to the south-east for anti-disunity efforts

The Nigeria Agenda, an advocacy group for a nation free of ethnic and religious biases adopted by a coalition of over 50 Civil Society Organizations across the country, has inducted over 300 volunteers in Nigeria’s South-Eastern geopolitical zone, determined to play a prominent role in shaping Nigerians’ political choices for anti-disunity by 2023. 

The newly inducted TNA Volunteers are expected to engage people at the grassroots in constructive dialogue by propagating the values of a Nigeria centred on the ideals of unity, equity, inclusiveness, and good neighbourliness, according to a statement released Monday in Abuja and signed by the TNA’s Chief Advocate, Niyi Akinsiju.  

Malam Ahmad Sajoh, Convener of the TNA and former Commissioner for Information in Adamawa state, said the country was at a critical point where the choice of leaders could no longer be left in the hands of politicians alone during the induction ceremony and launch of the Nigeria Agenda in Awka, Anambra state.  

“Because that unique democratic option might be the decider of our dear nation, Nigeria, it might be the difference between life and death, advancement and reversal. The difference we see today in Dubai, Singapore, China, and Malaysia is the singular choice of who leads. So, either we get it perfect or we’ll burst. We need a leader who is youthful enough to excite us, clever enough to chart the course, and completely Nigerian to give everyone a sense of belonging and justice, not one who sees the country through the lens of his little ethnic group.” Malam Sajoh remarked 

TNA Chief Advocate Niyi Akinsiju, in his own statement, urged Nigerians to avoid emotive differences and promote anti-disunity in the country.
