Anambra: 5000 Newly Recruited Teachers To Start Work in September

The 5000 teachers who participated in the recruiting procedures in Anambra State will start working in September 2022. 

Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, revealed this to some youths at the Prof. Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre, Awka, during an interactive session sponsored by the state’s chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) and the Ministry of Youth.  

However, he regretted that certain youths’ engagement in crime has had a bad impact on the country. Prof. Soludo regarded youths as both a bridge to the future and a vital element of every progress. 

The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to making the state intolerable for the lawbreakers.  

“Security of lives and property remains on top agenda of my government and we will continue to provide enabling ground for a liveable homeland,” he said while charging the youths to be responsive and take the development of the society in their hands as that determines their future. 

“I charge you to be responsible citizens and acquire skills that will make you productive while the government will provide the enabling environment, security and infrastructure.”

Recall that NO fewer than 6,000 out of 31,000 applicants who participated in the online recruitment examination for teachers in Anambra State have scaled through.

The state governor, Professor Soludo ordered for employment of both primary and secondary school teachers in the state school system barely two months after assumption of office to beef up teacher/students ratio in the state.

The state Commissioner for information, Mr Paul Nwosu said that the teachers’ Computer Based Test(CBT), a total of 5000 teachers have been shortlisted for oral interview for the teaching jobs across the state.
