As ndi Anambra prepare for the November 6, 2021 governorship election that is fast approaching, all eyes are currently on aspirants from different political parties, jostling to take over the mantle of leadership from Gov Willie Obiano.
Among the top contenders are highly successful professionals, business tycoons, technocrats and career politicians.
Presently, 32 Aspirants were captured from the 4 major political parties of the State, 7 aspirants from APGA, 16 from PDP, 9 from APC and 2 from YPP.
There are also other aspirants in the other parties.
However, the numbers of these aspirants will certainly decrease as parties conduct their primaries from June 10 – July 1, 2021.
The aspirants and their political parties are as follows:
APGA Governorship Aspirants:
Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji, Hon. Okwudili Ezenwankwo and Hon. ThankGod Kenechukwu Ibeh. Others include; Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, Hon. Nicholas Ukachukwu and Mr. Akachukwu Sullivan Nwankpo.
PDP Governorship Aspirants:
Dr. Winston Udeh , Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, Sen. Dr. Ugochukwu Uba , Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Dr. Godwin Ezeemo and Dr. Godwin Maduka. Others are Mrs. Chidi Onyemelukwe , Mrs. Genevieve Ekwochi, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, Mr. Ike Oligbo, Hon. Chris Azubogu, Dr. Ifedi Okwenna, Emeka Etiaba (SAN), Chief Walter Okeke, Hon. Tony Nwoye and Hon. Chuma Nzeribe.
APC Governorship Aspirants:
