Anambra route: Air Peace uses a modern E195-E2, B737

Air Peace has announced the deployment of its brand-new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft on the Anambra route, after the NCCA’s recent clearance of the Anambra Airport to fly B737-700 and similar aircraft.

This is due to the fact that the airline has increased flight frequency on several domestic routes, particularly those in Anambra.

Stanley Olisa, the airline’s spokeswoman, said the airline’s brand-new Embraer 195-E2 and Boeing 737 aircraft, which have larger passenger capacity, would be deployed on the route, and that the frequency has been raised to daily flights for Anambra.

This new development, he claims, implies increased flight availability for passengers traveling the route, reflecting the airline’s commitment to easing the strain of air travel in Nigeria.

Flights to Yola and Ibadan would now be conducted daily, while flights to Gombe will now be operated five days a week, according to him. “The brand-new Embraer 195-E2 now connects Owerri with three daily flights from Lagos and Abuja. From January 28, 2022, these additional frequencies will be in effect,” he said.

On April 30, 2021, Air Peace was the first airline to land at the new Anambra airport, and scheduled operations began on December 7, 2021, with an initial frequency of four flights weekly. After one month of operation, the airport had 142 flights with 3,865 passengers landing and taking off.
