Anambra State 2017 Governorship Election Statistics
Do you know that only 22% of registered voters participated in the 2017 Anambra State Governorship Elections, with Governor Willie Obiano Winning in all 21 Local Government Areas, scoring 234,071 votes.
Number of Registered Voters : 2,447,996
Number of Accredited People : 457,511
Number of Votes Cast : 448,771
NUMBER of polling units : 4,608
Idemili North Local Government Area had the highest number of registered voters : 178,938
But only 25,254 people (14.11%) were accredited.
The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) recently added 1,112 polling units to the already existing 4,608 polling units, bringing the total number of polling units in the state to 5,720 ahead of the November 6th gubernatorial elections.
