I cannot tell, if i would be contesting in 2023 election – Goodluck Jonathan

Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday reacted to calls that he should run for the 2023 Presidency.

Following demands for former President Jonathan to run for president in 2023, he is allegedly meeting with stakeholders.

The former president who lost to President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 is nursing an ambition to return to power.

Goodluck Jonathan said he can’t tell if he will run for the Presidency in 2023.

He disclosed this while addressing some supporters who besieged his office in Abuja, asking him to run for the Presidency in 2023.

According to Jonathan: “I cannot tell if I’m contesting.”

Hundreds of supporters, including women and youth groups, stormed Jonathan’s office, asking him to contest for President in 2023.

The supporters arrived at the office with a musical band around 8:50 a.m.

They lamented that hunger, insecurity, and unemployment, among others, have become the order of the day since he left office.

The supporters said that both men and women have turned to beggars because of the unfavourable policies of the present administration.

Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters overloads APC Secretariat

Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters have flooded the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja ahead of the 2023 elections.

Some observers think this is part of the former president’s strategy to gently kickstart his campaign as he prepares to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

However, journalists were unable to know about the former President’s plans for 2023 from him.

The posters, which featured a large image of the former President, read, “Goodluck Jonathan, You Must Run.”
