Kelechi Kaycee Madu is a Nigerian Born Canadian politician and lawyer who is currently the Minister for Justice and Solicitor General of Alberta, Canada. He has been in office since the 25th of August, 2020. Prior to his new office; he was elected to the legislative assembly of Alberta, representing the electoral district of South West Edmonton in 2019. He also got appointed to the executive council of Alberta as the Minister of Municipal Affairs, this was his last position before his appointment as the minister of Justice and Solicitor General.
Early life
Kelechi Kaycee Madu was born in the Southeastern part of Nigeria, he had his graduate study at the University of Lagos where he obtained a Bachelor of Law. In 2005, he migrated with his wife Emem to Edmonton who was at the time studying at the University of Alberta for her graduate studies.
