Peter Obi, Soludo Absent as Obiano winds up his tenure in an event

Governor-elect, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and Governor Willie Obiano’s predecessor Peter Obi, were notably absent as Obiano holds triple events in Awka to wind up his administration on Wednesday.

In the series of events, Obiano opened the International Conference Centre (ICC), honoured present and past leaders of the state and a book, written in his honour was launched.

In all these, neither Soludo nor Obi was present to honour the event. The book, ‘Akpokuedike: Duty Calls in Anambra’ written by an investment banker, Ike Chioke, chronicled Obiano’s leadership qualities and his landmark achievements in Anambra State.

The reviewer, Prof. Osita Ogbu, said reading the book, which has 184 pages and 15 chapters makes one know what led Obiano to lead people successfully.

Chairman on the occasion, Chief Emeka Anyaoku, in his remarks rated Obiano as a man most prepared for office, noting that in Europe and other advanced countries, people don’t just jump into leadership unprepared.

Anyaoku said Obiano transformed Anambra State in very many important areas and that the ICC equates any conference centre in the world.

Also speaking, the chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council in Anambra State described Obiano as the most successful governor of Anambra State.
