Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor-elect of Anambra State, has announced an 80-member transition committee to help him in his inauguration on March 17, 2022.
In a statement issued by Soludo’s media aide, Joe Anatume, the list includes 80 people, all of whom are notable Nigerians who would play various parts.
He stated that the committee will work with a team established by the Anambra State government to guarantee a smooth transition from Governor Willie Obiano’s administration to a Soludo-led administration effective March 17, 2022.
Former Minister of Education, Dr Oby Ezekwesili, was appointed as Chairman of the committee, while Prof. Benedict Oramah, Prof. Pat Utomi and Osita Chidoka would also play crucial roles in the transition arrangement.

The statement further noted that the committee’s terms of reference, as well as its method of operation, will be announced during the inauguration and first plenary session, which will take place between January 19 and 22, 2022 at the Golden Tulip (Agulu Lake) Hotel in the state.
Members are anticipated to arrive on Wednesday, January 19, with the inauguration and first plenary sessions beginning on January 20. The secretariat will manage logistics, according to the statement.
