A Federal High Court, Abuja, on Tuesday, admitted Sen. Rochas Okorocha to bail in the sum of N500 million with one surety in like sum.
Justice Ekwo said the surety must have a landed property within the jurisdiction of the court. The surety must also deposit the Certificate of Occupancy (C of O) of the verified property with the registry of the court.
The judge granted Rochas bail and also confiscated his international passport to prevent him from leaving the country.
He ordered the registry to inform the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) about the state of Okorocha’s travel documents.
