The former National Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance Party (APGA) Victor Umeh, Senator for Anambra Central Senatorial District, declared Prof. Charles Soludo, ex-governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and November 6, 2021, governorship aspirant as the best candidate for the governorship post.
The senator stated during Soludo governor’s campaign at Aguluzigbo in Anaocha local government Area of the state that “Anambra, as a state, is not a test running centre, candidate with grand knowledge like Soludo is what we desire; Anambra has quality men but for governance, Soludo has a different Solution.”
Soludo is an experienced man in the economic sector would take the state above other states in Nigeria. He said.
Anambra needs a leader that would stand firm and promote the goodwill APGA already built in the state. Umeh added.
“I personally have the love for Soludo, since his journey into Anambra politics. He was to be the next governor after Mr. Peter Obi, in 2013, but because APGA believes in equity, fairness and justice, the governorship slot was zoned to Anambra North that produced Chief Willie Obiano, through my effort as the then National Chairman of the party,” Umeh said.
“Now that the party has zoned the ticket to Anambra South, where Prof. Soludo comes from, I appeal to all card-carrying members of APGA to support and ensure that he wins the November 6, governorship election”.
“Soludo, as an economist who has travelled globally in search of leadership knowledge and a former CBN Governor of this great country, Nigeria, I believe, he has all it takes to govern Anambra perfectly.
“As a political veteran, who has been in the system for more than 20 years, I think at this point, I should know who the governorship cap fits in the state. He claimed.
“I am with my supporters for Soludo. There is no body language in this action.” He declared.
Anambra is the heartbeat of political activities in Igbo land and needs to be united. Umeh said.
APGA is the only platform for Igbo states to use to discuss for stronger national presence and the chance must not be missed. He pleaded.
