Breaking News: Gov. Soludo Approves a cutoff mark for Anambra Teachers’ Recruitment

Governor Charles Soludo has finally approved a cutoff mark for Anambra State Teachers Recruitment.

Soludo approved 50 percent as the cutoff mark for the just concluded Anambra State Teachers examination. This is done with respect to the ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise in Anambra State.

Candidates who scored 50 percent and above should prepare for another round of the examination on Saturday 18/06/2022. Candidates will only be checked into the examination hall by showing their personal identification cards, National Identification Cards, and Voters Cards.

Recall that Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, canceled the previous exercise and ordered repeating the exercise in other to accommodate all.

There have been criticisms about the examination by some candidates owing to network failure as the website failed for about 30 minutes into the one-hour exam. 

About 31,000 candidates had applied to sit for the examination to fill the 5,000 available vacancies. 

A majority of the candidates had complained that the system broke down even before they could log in for the examination due to network failure. 

The situation forced the participants to allege that it was a deliberate attempt to shut them out of the exams for them to pick their preferred candidates.

Although, the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, had immediately debunked the allegations stating that 6,000 candidates had successfully completed their final logging in. 

Soludo then canceled the examination to accommodate all.

Soludo directed the Commissioner for Education to conduct a repeat of the exercise to make up for the shortfall in the Saturday, June 4.
