Excerpts from Gov. Soludo’s Statewide Broadcast

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, made a Statewide broadcast yesterday. He revealed the security measures the state will be taking to put an end to the current Insecurity bedevilling the state.

In his statewide broadcast, He also placed a ban on Keke, Bikes and Shuttle buses in 8 local governments that are the current areas these attacks are at their peak.

Communities/individual lands within the State that is used as camping grounds by terrorists will be forfeited to govt.

Furthermore, tricycles, motorcycles, & shuttle buses are banned starting from Monday across every part of the state until further notice’.

The State has imposed a curfew on Keke/shuttle buses in Aguata, Orumba North, Orumba South, Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ekwusigo, Ihiala and Ogbaru Local Government Areas til further notice. This curfew will hold from 6pm to 6am every day.

Operation “know your tenant/landlords”. Any home related to arson, abduction, gun-running, narcotics, raping, murder, and other crimes will be taken by the government.
1m bounty on anyone who provides information on those hyping and supporting unknown gunmen.
Compulsory CCTV to be installed in all gas stations & weekly footage submitted to security agencies.
