2023 Elections: 102-year-old woman expresses interest in running President

Mrs. Nonye Josephine Ezeanyaeche, a 102-year-old woman, has proclaimed her ambition to run for President of Nigeria in 2023.

Ezeanyaeche stated that if the younger generation is not willing to take on the task of governing the country, she will enter the race.

She reportedly announced her intention during a recent visit to the Nigerian Television Authority’s (NTA) management team in Abuja, where she was greeted by NTA Director-General Yakubu Ibn Mohammed.

Ezeanyaeche is an indigene of Aguata, Anambra state, and the founder of the ‘Voice for Senior Citizens of Nigeria’ group. She is known as a ‘living legend’ or ‘Mama Africa.’
