Nnewi, in Anambra State, has been named the world’s seventh fastest-growing city, in the recently revised World Economic Forum rating of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
The World Economic Forum came up with this rating after revising the previous one, which was done by the United Nations World Urbanization Prospects in 2014.
Three more Nigerian cities were included in this list, with Lokoja, Kogi State, coming in third, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and Abuja, respectively, coming in ninth and tenth.
The tremendous surge of both substantial commercial investments and people population has resulted in this ranking.
This ranking is based on projected urban growth between 2016 and 2025.
