Anambra 2021: Ayamelum APGA Backs Nonso Smart Okafor For Party Ticket.
Ahead of June 23rd, APGA Party Primary for the 2021 Anambra Governorship Election, APGA faithful in Ayamelum Local Government Area, has backed Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor for the party’s ticket.
The party members gave their support to the candidacy of the lawmaker while receiving him at the Party L.G.A Secretariat, today, Saturday, 8th May, 2021, during his consultation visit to the L.G.A.
Speaking during the visit, the Governorship Aspirant said that he was in the L.G.A to have face-to-face interaction with party members at the grassroots who he regards as the stakeholders of the party.
He said that his ambition is driven by his passion to harness the resources of the state where all citizens will have a better life.
The aspirant emphasized that in the area of Agriculture which communities in Ayamelum L.G.A are known for, he will put in place an agricultural policy that can create food sufficiency, wealth, and job opportunities. He said these will position the state to be a leading player in national and global food markets.
The lawmaker who also represents Nnewi North in the Anambra State House of Assembly revealed that apart from building Agric hubs in each senatorial zone of the state, his government will provide a friendly regulatory framework that will attract local and external investors into the sector, especially in the area of processing and value-addition.
Endorsing the Gubernatorial ambition of Hon. Nonso Smart Okafor, the Chairman of APGA in Ayamelum L.G.A, Hon. Onyenwe Livinus and Woman Leader of the party in the L.G.A, Mrs. Helen Nnabuife, who respectively spoke on behalf of the party faithful’s said that Hon. Nonso Smart has shown that he is pro-people, and believes in the welfare of the masses.
According to them, the L.G.A will ensure that delegates in the eleven (11) wards will vote for the lawmaker.
The consultation parley had the presence of all the party executives in the eleven (11) wards and LGA executives of Ayamelum Local Government Area.
