The newly elected Executive of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, led by its Chairman, Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, has continued its familiarization tour by paying a visit to Professor Charles Esimone, Vice Chancellor of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, to seek a more cordial relationship between the union and the institution.

Professor Esimone, Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University in Awka, welcomed the Anambra NUJ leaders with open arms.

While speaking to the delegation, Professor Esimone expressed his delight at Dr Odogwu Emeka Odogwu’s victory in the Anambra NUJ election on January 28, 2022, and thanked members of the union for believing in Dr Odogwu and his executive members, promising to continue to provide the union with all necessary support.

Professor Esimone, while emphasizing that his administration would not have achieved such high levels of accomplishment without the assistance of the state’s journalists, appealed for continued support from the men of the pen, acknowledging that no organization can live without the participation of the media.
