Ex Gov. Obiano’s wife emerges APGA senatorial candidate for Anambra North

On Sunday, the wife of ex-governor of Anambra State, Ebelechukwu Obiano, emerged as the candidate of APGA for the Anambra North senatorial election.

Mrs Obiano defeated her husband’s former Chief of Staff, Primus Odili in a keenly contested primary.

At the APGA primary election which held at the Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium, Onitsha saw Mrs Obiano( candidate) poll 152 votes against her closest rival, Odili who got 120.

Other aspirants at the election included the State’s former Commissioner for Information, Tony Nnacheta with 2 votes and Onwuteaka Sam Jnr polled 2 votes out of the 276 total votes cast at the poll.

The Returning Officer for the election, Mr O. Ikenna commended the contestants and delegates, who emerged winners at the primaries.
