Wema Bank appoints Non-Executive Directors

The Board of Directors of Wema Bank Plc has announced the appointment of two independent Non-Executive Directors. 

A declaration signed by the company’s secretary Johnson Lebile and submitted to the Nigerian Exchange Limited made the news. 

Dr. (Mrs) Oluwayemisi Olorunshola and Mrs. Bolarin Okunowo have been appointed as Independent Non-Executive Directors of Wema Bank.  

Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwayemisi Olorunshola is a supply chain professional and business associate with over 15 years of experience in international organizations and over 10 years of experience as a business manager. She holds a B.Sc. Education degree in education and economics from Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University in the United States. 

Her job expertise includes every part of the supply chain, including Company & Production Planning, Procurement, Distribution, Import & Export, and Logistics Services, and she is a well-trained professional in different facets of business management.  

Dr. Olorunshola is a member of the Nigerian Chartered Institute of Personnel Management and a fellow of the International Institute for African Scholars. She is a firm believer in community development and, in pursuit of this goal, she participates in a variety of civic activities, where she  has made significant contributions to the development of her town and other spheres of influence.
