Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal and Imo State Governor Rochas Okorocha have both stated their desire to run for president in 2023.

Tambuwal is attempting to realize his dream through the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). After a high-level stakeholder meeting in Sokoto last evening, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives announced his desire.

Tambuwal stated during the declaration that he is not only well prepared but also willing to solve the country’s myriad problems.

He stated that he had distinguished himself not just as governor, but also as Speaker of the House of Representatives, without stain or corruption tag.

Okorocha stated in Abuja that Nigeria needs a leader who can unify the nation and give everyone a feeling of belonging, and that he is the finest man for the job.

“Nigeria needs a caring leader who would listen to the poor, a leader who will offer everyone a feeling of belonging, If I say I’m going to make Nigeria more unified, believe me, I’m going to accomplish it.” He remarked.

He urged other presidential hopefuls to demonstrate their abilities to defend Nigeria’s unity as he has done over the years.
