PDP targets 163,000 new members in state wards

The chairman People’s Democratic Party (PDP) of the state Mr. Ndubuisi Nwobu declared that the party targets at least 163,000 new members in all the 326 wards in the state.

The party is gathering massive members in the state in other to prepare for the November 6, 2021 governorship election. He stated.

In addition to old party members, PDP target at least 500 members in each ward. He said.

“We want to ensure that people are registered in addition to old members. We target at least 500 members in each of the 326 wards in the state. We are sensitizing our people to become members of the PDP. We implore people to come out and register with PDP, join in the massive campaign and work towards the development of Anambra.” Nwobu added.

The chairman also assured that the party has set up the local council monitoring team and zonal monitoring committee to ensure free, transparent and successful election in Anambra state.

He also stated that the party will employ some strategies like the use of town criers and also placing jingles in broadcast stations.

The party is the only platform in the state that doesn’t give out money to get voters. Nwobu added.
