Imo state governor Hope Uzodinma on Wednesday expressed disappointment over the Southeast’s failure to win the All Progressives Congress APC Presidential Primaries.

According to Uzodinma, the Southeast was denied the opportunity to produce the next president under the ruling party for lack of fairness by losing APC Presidential Primaries.

The APC governor, speaking to Channels TV, further said that the region cannot produce the next president of Nigeria due to injustice.

Uzodinma in his statement said: “From the point of view of political calculation, the sentiment of the people of the Southeast is that they deserve to produce the president because the reason this power is shifting from north to south is that the current the president is from the north and has served as a daughter for years.

“The reason the southeast is asking is that when the power got south it went southwest and stayed there for eight years and the next time it got south it went south south and it’s been there for seven more years.

“The natural thing to do and the justice of the case is that now that power is returning to the south and since it is only three geopolitical zones that make up the south, it should come to the southeast, having been in the southwest and the south-south.
