Ogba Ukwu Caves and Waterfalls is such a beautiful sight to behold. The cave is Located in Owerre, Ezeukala Community, Anambra state, a community that borders Abia, Enugu and Imo.

Ogba Ukwu cave is approximately 75km east of Onitsha. It is considered the largest cave in West Africa and could take about 2 hours to explore. Yet, not much is known about this cave which has been in existence for so many years now.

The cave’s deep and complex formation of rocks with room-like compartments is big enough to take in a whole village.

There is a large area within the confinement of the cave, that is believed to be inhabited by the ‘god’ of Owerre-Ezukala. The confined area is called his living room.

This cave, like other caves, has many entry and exit routes. There is also a special exit that is famous for covering a wide range of distances. In the cave, is another compartment accessed by the aid of stone steps where an old elephant’s foot still stands, though long dead and dry.

The Ogba-Ukwu Caves and Waterfalls is a site that will leave every tourist dumbfounded without doubt over its beautiful work of nature.
