Rotimi Amaechi to declare presidential candidacy on Saturday

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, would announce his presidential ambition during the All Progressives Congress (APC) thanksgiving celebration in Rivers State.

Amaechi, a former River State governor, is to attend the event alongside APC governors, National Assembly members, and key Federal Government officials.

It will be that Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai reveal in March that Amaechi has interest in running for president in 2023.

“Rotimi Amaechi is considering running for president.” He has every right to do so, but I’m not running for office. “I’m not going to be on his ticket,” declared the governor.

It should also be noted that a group has backed Amaechi for President Muhammadu Buhari’s successor in 2023.

Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is a Nigerian politician who is presently the Minister of Transportation in President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet.

He was born on May 27, 1965. He previously served as Governor of Rivers State from 2007 to 2015.

Amaechi was the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 1999 to 2007.
