Abubakar Malami declares interest to run for governor of Kebbi State.

The Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, has stated his desire to run for governor of Kebbi State in the 2023 election.

In a video viewed by the publication on Monday, April 4, 2022, Abubakar Malami revealed his desire in front of his fans.

Malami told his followers that he relied on the prayers and support of the people. He also stated that he intended to work for the people.

Malami, who spoke in Hausa, was quoted as saying, “If God in His mercy permits and all goes well, I will contest the governorship of Kebbi state as a politician. I’m looking for your help”.

“I’d want to state unequivocally that I intend to compete.  I am depending on your prayers and support to help us all work together and finish the marathon. I have no history of treachery, and I will not betray you. I’ll do my best to help you.”

The Senior Advocate of Nigeria will run under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC). He will run to succeed the current Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, who is finishing his second term.
