Abia Businessmen raises ₦200m for Lawan and Kalu’s nomination form

Two businessmen from Abia State handed ₦200m cheques to Ahmad Lawan and Orji Uzor Kalu for their presidential nomination form.

This is for them to purchase nomination and expression of interest forms for the 2023 presidential election. 

Both Lawan and Kalu intend to run for president in 2023 on the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC). 

This occurred just 24 hours after the ruling APC’s national leadership released the fees of its nomination form and expression of interest forms

The businessmen, Ukaegbu James and Nnanna Kalu, made the news on Wednesday evening in Abuja.

According to a statement issued by the Orji Kalu Media Office on Thursday morning. 

The businessmen, Chief Ukaegbu James and Chief Nnanna Kalu based in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area (LGA) of Abia.

“Both Lawan and Kalu are capable leaders who would replace President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023”. 

“The business people also observed that the APC required a unifying and dedicated leader with extensive knowledge of Nigeria to replace President Buhari in 2023”.  

“However, If we are to get it right in 2023, we need result-oriented leaders like Kalu and Lawan to follow President Muhammadu Buhari,” the statement said.  

“It is time to present our best hands because there won’t be any room for the writing of fake results. 

“We are ready to make N200 million available by the weekend to purchase their nomination forms”.

“We are also convinced by their track record, managerial skills, experience and leadership acumen.”
