Humane Studies Graduate Sabbatical Grants for International Students in USA

Scholarships help to lessen the impact of rising tuition costs. Keeping this in mind, the Institute for Humane Studies at George Mason is providing the Humane Studies Graduate Sabbatical Grants for the academic year 2022/2023.

The fellowship is open to students and postdocs at any university. International students are eligible. Students will get up to $15,000. Grants are highly competitive and renewable.

Application Deadline

Since funds are limited, they suggest applying for fall sabbaticals by July 15 and spring sabbaticals by November 15. Applications are on a rolling basis.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:

  • Applicants must be undertaking a post-doctoral fellowship.
  • The fellowship is open to students and postdocs at any university.

  • How to Apply:  To be considered for this award, the applicants must be admitted to the University of their choice via its application process. Applicants must complete and submit a Scholarship application form.
  • Supporting Documents: The students must submit academic records, CV, copy of passport, two references, and recommendation letters.
  • Admission Requirements: Students must hold a previous degree certificate with remarkable results.
  • Language Requirement:  The students are required to refer to meet the English language requirements of the university depending on their chosen program.

Benefits

The Institute for Humane Studies will provide up to $15,000 to postdocs to buy out teaching responsibilities for a semester.

IMPACT Scholarships for International Students, UK

The University College London is offering IMPACT Scholarships for overseas students in the UK.

All interested students wishing to study full-time, part-time, or modular flexible are welcome to apply and the scholarship will be applied to their fees pro-rata. The IMPACT scholarships will cover the successful recipients’ full fees (£16,500) to study on the MPH programme.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:

  • Has lived experience of inequality. This may include, but is not limited to, inequality due to income, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, career responsibilities, adverse childhood experiences, social exclusion, or disability.
  • Meets the admissions criteria for UCL online Master of Public Health (MPH).
  • And have submitted an admissions application for the MPH programme at UCL, starting in 2022/23.

How to Apply: Students must first submit an admission application to UCL via the online portal for the scholarship.

The University College London will offer the selected International students £16,500 (full course fees) to support the cost of study. The value of the bursary is £16,500. The bursary is tenable for students who wish to study full-time or part-time of via modular-flexible. It is applied to the recipient’s tuition fees.
